Three Words that Best Describe Tara: Reliable, Dedicated, Enthusiastic

Artistry and Special Skills:  Acting, Gymnastics, Basketball, Dance, Snowboarding, Sketching, Swimming, Cooking, Writing / Poetry and Figure Skating

Tara embodies creativity. She grew up believing that she could do anything she set her mind to—because that’s what she was told—so, that’s exactly what she did. She went on to tackle everything, ranging from acting, to gymnastics, to basketball, to dance, to snowboarding, to sketching, to swimming, to cooking, to writing poetry, to figure skating. Tara thinks that it is important to know, as an adolescent, what you like and what you don’t like. And you can only learn that by trying different things and having someone there to motivate you. Tara’s primary focus in the arts is Acting for Film. Tara, a lover of coffee and the smell of a new book on a Sunday morning, was born and raised in New York, where she pursues her career as an actress. She is currently studying Acting in Marymount Manhattan College and is minoring in Dance. Tara, a walking creative outlet, will make sure that your child feels creatively stimulated through whatever they are doing.

Childcare Experience:  Tara has had the pleasure of growing up in Manhattan, so she personally knows firsthand how it feels growing up in a big city as a child. She began babysitting at the age of twelve. The couple asked her about her previous experience. She told them that she had three younger siblings and that she genuinely loves kids.

Fast-forward, Tara found herself getting many babysitting jobs for babies and children of all ages. She quickly learned a lot more of the logistics of babysitting, but her initial pure love for children is what keeps her motivated. She has worked with many families for years in their homes. She developed wonderful relationships with each family, from the children, to the parents, to their pets. She has also volunteered with Shalva and The Friendship Circle, two organizations that care for and embrace the abilities of disabled children. Tara absolutely loves to play with children, indoor and outdoor activities alike.

Tara believes that a child can teach her just as much as she could teach the child and that children are a lot smarter than people give them credit for. She finds that that approach works wonders!

Personal Interests:  Tara’s free time consists of a variety of things. They range from exploring the streets that she’s never walked on in New York, to spending the day learning Spanish through an application she downloaded, to buying a recipe book and whipping up dishes of all kind, to doing a poetry reading in a French café downtown, to volunteering at an event because she was given a postcard on the street. She is up for the challenge! Tara does everything she can to expand her understanding of herself, others, and the world around her.

Personal Quote:  “A little consideration, little thought for others, makes all the difference.” -Eeyore, Winnie the Pooh
