Artistry and Special Skills:  Theatre Director, Improvisation, Writing, Singing, Dancing, Acting, Circus Skills

Originally from Washington State, Rani was forever changed by a production of Search for Signs of Intelligent Life in the Universe at age 8. Ever since, Rani has been acting, dancing, singing, and directing. She earned her BFA in theatre performance at The Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University. She acted in Chicago before she moved on to directing in Los Angeles for The Second City. She’s well versed in all kinds of acting techniques and loves to share what she knows with aspiring actors,  theatre/film writers and directors, and comedians!

Childcare Experience:  Rani has done after school pick up, tutoring of math, science, English, history, (etc.), weekend stays for when parents went out of town, and even created curriculum for school breaks to coincide with the current scholastic curriculum.  Rani enjoys playing games, trips to the playground, swimming, feeding times and prep, and bed time rituals.  Rani has taught improvisation, singing, acting, and dancing to kids as young as 5 years old! Working with large casts, Rani directed and taught each sessions musical to a variety of levels. Her private lessons included: vocal training, audition preparation, and rehearsal review. Rani is no stranger to music. She’s helped the kids she’s cared for learn musical instruments, create songs, and learn how to read sheet music.  So, if your kids is a performer, she’ll be happy to help them out!

Personal Interests:  Other than theatre and improv, Rani loves exploring the city, visual art, and birds. Whether at the Whitney or Central Park, Van Gogh or Seurat, love birds or parrots, Rani is all in!
