Mallory K.

Three words that best describe Mallory:  Creative, Loving, Patient

Artistry and special skills:  Costume Design, Hair and Makeup Design, Acting, Directing, Crafting

Mallory was born and raised in Loveland, Colorado by two supportive parents and has one younger brother. She has had a love for performing since her first role as a lamb in the Christmas Pageant and transitioned into technical theatre for college after seeing the magic of Cinderella on Broadway. She recently graduated with her BFA in Applied Theatre Technology and Design in Costume, Hair and Makeup from Metropolitan State University of Denver. She is a new transplant to the City and looking to soak up as many new places and people as possible!

Childcare experience:  Mallory has been a sitter since she was 13 years old!  She also volunteered for VBS through her church during the summers. Since then, all through high school and college, childcare has not only been a job, but a passion. She treats the kids like friends and is very hands-on, participating in games and crafts and going on adventures. For three years she was a Tour Guide at the Denver Aquarium for birthday parties, teaching kids from ages 2-14 about all the creatures as well as keeping track of all the kids throughout the exhibits. She has been able to blend her love of theatre and children by costume designing for several children theatres and being a mentor to a student written and produced short film done by a group of 5th graders. She is comfortable with multiple children at a time and has experience with Newborns all the way through to teenagers.

Personal interests:  When not spending time in the theatre or seeing shows, she loves to discover new food and coffee places, cook, game nights with friends, exploring and learning through museums, and various craft projects such as sewing, knitting and scrapbooking.

Personal quote:  “Dreams do come true, if only we wish hard enough. You can have anything in life if you will sacrifice everything else for it.” – Peter Pan by J.M. Barrie
