Kallen was born in raised in Memphis, TN. She graduated with high honors from BelmontUniversity in Nashville, receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Performance.
Childcare Experience: Kallen began babysitting for neighborhood families at age 12. Since then, she has developed a passion for working with children, and has extended her experience beyond babysitting. Kallen has worked with all ages, ranging from infants of 3 months to preteens. The summer of 2011 she served as a private nanny and tutor for two children: One boy, age 12, and a girl, age 7. Kallen has also worked as a camp counselor: First at a day camp in Memphis, TN, and later as a co-founder and teacher at a performing arts camp for middle school girls. In addition, having been inspired by her brother who has autism and cerebral palsy, Kallen served at a day camp for children and young adults with special needs. Most recently Kallen was a full-time nanny for two sweet boys: Ages 1 and 3.
Personal Interests: Kallen is passionate about storytelling — whether it be through theatre, music, dance, or written on paper. She hopes to one-day collaborate with other artists and open a non-profit theatre company that emphasizes the power of story. She loves nature and the outdoors and would spend the majority of everyday outside if she could! Kallen would also have 5 golden retrievers if she could, as she is an avid dog-lover; however, she realizes that would not be the best idea in an NYC apartment.
