Three Words that Best Describe Julia:  Responsible, Dedicated, and Optimistic

Artistry and Special Skills:  Music, Theater, Dance, Ukelele, Improv, Photography, and Crafting

Julia was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama and received her BFA in Musical Theatre, cum laude, from The Boston Conservatory. She loves children and animals, and thinks there is nothing more important than her family.

Childcare Experience:  Julia began babysitting around the age of 14, and has loved working with children ever since.  Throughout her four years in college, she consistently babysat and worked in children’s theater.  Julia has directed several musicals for children, and has acted in numerous children’s theater productions.  She loves any activity when it comes to child care.  Julia is happy to do school pickups, prepare meals, help with homework, and indulge in the always popular, play time. Being a babysitter for many years has taught Julia the importance of adapting to each child and knowing that all children are special and unique.  Her theatrical background makes her a wonderful babysitter for any child up for adventure.  She hopes to have the opportunity to care for your family in the future!

Personal Interests:  Julia grew up smack-dab in the middle of two boys, so she’s always been creative and adventurous.  She was bitten by the theater bug at the age of 12 and has been pursuing that passion ever since.    She recently made her NYC directorial debut at the NYC Fringe festival. Julia loves to do anything creative with her time.  She is an avid creative artist, and fun maker.  She enjoys learning how to play new instruments, singing, baking, and crafting of any kind.  She’ll never be caught without a smile on her face, and she dearly loves to laugh.

Personal Quote:   “One can learn just as much from a child as they can from a professor.  Children have a unique perspective on the world that allows ideas like magic to become reality.  Witnessing a child grow, learn, and explore is the greatest job a person can have.”
