Childcare Experience:  Julia has been babysitting since she was 14 years old for babies and school-aged children. She has also worked with children in several artistic settings, including as a counselor and instructor for three summers with the Audubon Arts summer theatre program for children in New Haven, CT. There, she worked with children ages 5-12 on original plays, music, costume creation, and also taught beginner piano lessons in the morning. In addition, Julia was a participant in the Shared Ability dance workshop, a program designed to bring together children with various mental and physical disabilities and young ballet dancers to collaborate and choreograph pieces, which were performed at the end of each session.

Personal Interests:  Julia is an actress who is interested in pursing a career on the stage and on the screen. In her spare time, you can find her in the kitchen cooking and baking. In the warmer months, Julia loves to spend time outdoors hiking and kayaking, and in the cooler months, you can find her knitting while catching up on her favorite shows. As a person who grew up studying multiple artistic disciplines, she often continues to paint, dance, and play piano as hobbies. Her warm and enthusiastic nature is beneficial in sharing these skills with children.

Personal Quote:  “I believe that every child has a story to tell that can be unlocked through art. Whether they paint, dance, act, sing, draw, write, or express their story through music, it is important that we encourage them to explore their creativity from a young age. I love working with children because they are so eager to imagine and create!”
