Camille Co.

Three words that best describe Camille: Effervescent, Reliable, Empathetic

Artistry and Special Skills: Acting, Singing, Dancing, Improv, Sketch Comedy

Born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, Camille has always been one to gravitate towards the limelight. She started taking dance classes at the age of two, figure skating at the age of four, and acting and singing, at the age of six. The Center of Creative Arts (COCA) in St. Louis, helped hone her crafts and gave her the platform to experiment in many areas of the performing arts. As a teenager she also was a teaching assistant at COCA and was able to further her love and devotion of the performing arts to the next generation! As a babysitter, she uses her creative background to engage children in fun and innovative activities that will get them moving and expanding their imaginations. Camille holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from Missouri State University and recently finished a year long teaching artist contract with Charleston Stage Company in Charleston, SC.

Childcare Experience: Camille’s childcare experience extends all the way back to 2009, when she started teaching Learn to Skate classes at her local rink (Kirkwood Ice Arena). She then worked at COCA in St. Louis as a teaching assistant and eventually, a teacher, in charge of teaching theatre, music, and dance camps for children all over the St. Louis area. In the summer of 2016, Camille began a year long journey as a teaching artist for Charleston Stage Company’s 39th season. Her responsibilities included teaching theatre education classes for the theatre’s Troupe program (ages 8-14) and also traveling to Charleston County and Berkeley County schools and implementing beginner theatre techniques within their school’s curriculum. Since moving to New York, she has been working as a freelance nanny and is so excited to start working with your family!

Personal Interests: When she’s not babysitting or performing, you can find her either in a yoga class, listening to podcasts, baking gluten free cookies, walking through the city, or reading a juicy thriller!

Personal Quote: “If we are to teach real peace in this world, and if we are to carry on a real war against war, we shall have to begin with the children”
