Computer Vision Syndrome in your child?

If your child rubs her eyes a lot or complains or blurriness, she may have computer vision syndrome (CVS), a range of issues due to too much screen time. It’s a good idea to make an eye exam a yearly tradition anyway, so ask your optometrist about this topic for more information.

To help prevent CVS in the first place, have your child follow these tips:

1) Take a break every 20 minutes for 20 seconds, and focus on something that’s 20 feet away.

2) Minimize glare on the monitor, which should be between 18-28 inches away from your child’s head.
